Canadian Begonia Society

Membership is open to everybody, no matter where they live - with a fee of $20.00 CDN per year. The scope of the organisation extends all over the world though, and is not just limited to Canada. But because of that, attendance at monthly meetings is usually limited to those people who live close enough to one another to make such a meeting worthwhile.

For those in the Toronto area, meetings are on the third Thursday of every month from September to June at 7:30 pm on the first floor of the Etobicoke Board of Education Centre, 1 Civic Centre Court, in Etobicoke (east off of The West Mall, just south of Burnhamthorpe Road). Close to the 401, highway 427 and the QEW for easier access.

For those away from the Toronto area, membership provides a contact group that you can call upon for advice. Whether by mail, telephone or the Internet, you have the opportunity to share your experiences as a begonia grower with others. Others who just may just have an answer or a growing tip that could prove useful.

Membership also provides a newsletter that we publish 5 times a year. It's has hints, tips and traps for some of the more common problems facing begonia growers - and even some of the not-so-common problems.

Membership: Mr. B Watt 250 Ridout Street Port Hope, Ontario L1A 1P5 Ph. 905-885-0375
