Day at Sea
Our day at sea on our way back to Colon. Cloudy and warm. Breakfast in Chops
was Eggs Benedict and delicious. Lunch was at Izumi and ever so tasty too.
Edamame beans followed by Miso Soup..so good and then I had one roll only –
filled with salmon, cream cheese and deep fried to make it crispy and served
with a champagne sauce over it. Tom had a spicy crunchy shrimp roll and a
spicy tuna roll. He said they were both very very good. We had finished this
and were saying how perfect it was and just enough when the waiter brought
us another roll to try, compliments of the chef. Yikes, ate what we could of
this and that was it! Of course no desert again.
The best thing you can do while on this cruise or any that have the three
specialty restaurants is to take the 3 dinner package at these
restaurants…the best 55.00 you can spend and it gives you such variety with
menu choices while at these restaurants. We ended up eating at Izumi again
for lunch and will end our cruise with dinner again tonight at Giovanni’s –
I can taste that balsamic vinegar!
Tom is lazing on the chaise lounge on the balcony, kindle in hand and a
glass of red wine and dark chocolate beside him…life is good and soon day
will become night and we will be spending our last relaxing meal at sea.
For those who like the variety of things to do on a cruise, there is plenty
for sure but for those of us who just like to do as we feel, relax as we
want and savour the quiet time just listening to the ocean waves a cruise is
all about choice….and there is plenty of that each and every day.
March 17th
Colon Port, Republic of Panama to Panama City
The ship pulled up to the dock at around 6 a.m. and was set to release
passengers around 7 a.m. We had put our luggage out the night before by 11
p.m. and noticed that it was the first bin out this morning. We went for
breakfast in the Windjammer and afterwards just sat in our beautiful suite
waiting until around 8:30 a.m. when we left to head to customs and
immigration then outside to wait for our car…2 hours later we would be
home…having booked two more cruises!
