This spring I noticed my rowan tree had significantly less flowers in bloom than usual. Then as this summer rolled about it developed even less berries. A lot less. I also started to notice missing foliage. Some limbs completely stripped of leaves. I then gave the tree a shake to have about 30 - 50 of these beetles fall off.

I have no idea if they're the ones eating the leaves of if they are eating the pests who are.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thank-you very much.

Beetles are the cause for the significant less barries and flowers. The tree is infected and should be protected from beetles. As a professional Arborist Sydney, I recommend get the help of professional tree company near your area.
