Early spring had a professional landscaper plant 16 beautiful,healthy 7 ft emerald green cedars as per instructions we watered, fertalized at the appropriate time. Trees are now turning yellow and brown on the inside. It is fall in our area now is this a normal "flagging process" for the trees. We are in the central interior of British Columbia

Hi Carol. It's possible that your trees are in transplant shock. Depending on the size of the trees when they were planted, it can take up to two years for them to completely take root. Try giving each tree three doses of transplant fertilizer, one month apart. You might need to repeat in the spring if they don't take root before the snow settles in. Jeanette.
