Subject: Workshops in Alberta or Saskatchewan?

I live in East Central AB, a stone's throw from the SK border. I'm trying to get a gardening club started, and am looking for some help. At the moment, I am looking for workshops in AB or SK on pruning fruit trees, basic landscaping do's and don'ts, perennial care on the prairies and how to build a water feature.

Anyone know any sources for this training? or instructors I might contact?

Thanks for the help!

How far east are you? Parkland Garden Centre in Red Deer has sent horticulturists out to Garden clubs or Community Learning classes in Rimbey, Ponoka and Three Hills (I know I used to be one of them)

They have some great people there - Alfred and Christine to name a couple. Call them It's worth a try

If no luck email me directly and we'll see what I can do. I could be enticed back into teaching a class or two maybe if the drive isn't too crazy and the weather isn't as bad as yesterday(ugh!)

How far are you from Calgary? I organize the workshops for the Calgary Horticultural Society. Are you looking for someone to come to you? Might be able to give you some names to contact for the topics you mention but of course no idea if people willing to travel out to you.
