we recently moved to the Kingston area into a new house. i just discovered that there is a "swale" at the back of our lot - how do we deal with this since we are not alowed to plant anything there, short of letting the grass grow. also the soil is pure clay - any help in planning my new garden would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

Hi Karen,
I have the exact same problem...right in the middle of my back yard. I thought I might do something with rocks maybe? But I am stumped and haven't found the right solution.
I've just joined today (March 9) so I would appreciate you sharing anything you've learned since your post. thanks
