I have just pulled all my bulbs out and will be putting them in my root cellar over the winter.

I awill be away for the better part of the growing season next year and don't know what to do with my bulbs. I don't particularly want to plant them since I won't be here to tend to them but what are my alternatives?

Why did you pull them up? They will look after themselves once planted whereas I'm not sure they will survive in your cellar.

Sorry but I missed saying these are dahlia bulbs and would not last like tulips or daffodils.
