My husband gave me a miniature orange tree about a month ago. I transplanted it and placed it in a sunny location (west facing window)where it is receiving at least 4 hours of sunlight a day (directions from local greenhouse) I have made sure that it is getting enough water but it appears to be dying? Help!!!!

Tanya, I have an orange tree and sometimes it's difficult to know what to do. Are you overwatering? What does the tree look like? I purchased a small fruit free from a local store and I didn't realize it but it was full of mealy bugs which have now transferred over to my other plants. It's a nightmare because the new purchase looks terrible i.e. leaves dropping off, edges of leaves dry, etc. I'm not sure if that's the case with you but took under the leaves very closely and see if there is anything underneath that is small and white. Good luck!

I transplanted a minature orange tree a few weeks ago. Some of the leaves yellowed and fell off but it is now blooming. Perhaps your tree is sulking a bit after the transplant.

Thank you for the replies. I checked the plant - no bugs. I've decided to move the orange tree out into my greenhouse and it seems to have picked up again. I originally had it in my house because the flowers were beautiful and gave off a nice scent, but I guess my house wasn't good enough for it. Ha Ha - it loves the greenhouse though.
