I'd like some suggestions for fertilizing annuals in containers or window boxes. In the past I have used water-soluable fertilzer like Miracle-Gro, but have found I can't rely on myself to do it as frequently as I should! I was thinking of trying slow-release granules. Does anyone have any recommendations or best methods.

I always use the slow release fertilizer in my containers. From what I've read, using the slow release fertilizer does not mean you never have to fertilize. I mix my own soil mix so I also do regular fertilizing once in a while. If you use Pro Mix or a prepared mix, I think they already have some slow release mixed in. Hope this helps. Marg
