Hello, I'm back with more phlox problems. I think there are a number of pests who are out to destroy my phlox davids. I've lost 3 stems that were all chewed from the base. Some of the leaves have curled and I noticed a white foamy substance around the base (where the stems were chewed off) and also around some of the leaves. Something has also made a cocoon on the underside of a leaf on one of them. I released some beneficial nematodes a few nights ago in hopes of eliminating any remaining larvae. But I'm not sure what to do about any of the adult pests that are ruining the look of these beautiful plants. ANY thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated. THANKS!!

Karen - I would say just keeping removing the culprits, including that cocoons. Remove, as in, either crush individual pests, or drown them if you can't stomach squishing them, or else, if all else fails, spray on good old RAID House and Garden.
