My green pea seedling are really struggling. Something is chewing the leaves. It could be birds, but I never see any birds there. Is anyone else experienceing this? from Southern Ontario

Yes, we have seen birds nipping at our snow pea seedlings. Try this: punch a little hole in the rim of some aluminum pie plates. Then tie a string to the hole and tie the other end to the supports that you have for your peas. The pie plates will fly around in the wind and make a racket. They should stop the birds without harming them. If your pea seedlings are about 3 or 4 inches long, they should keep on growing (by starting a new "leader"). Hope you have some extra seeds, just in case!

Good luck!
