A friend bought the above named plant from the A&P supermarket. It is really lovely. Lots of white tubular flowers and dark green hairy leaves, it has bloomed for 3 months straight !! It puts me in mind of a Streptocarpus, anyone know it for sure?

Hi Ann,

The botanical name of the plant is Plectranthus ciliatus 'Zulu Wonder'. It is available in white and in a lilac blue color. A beautiful plant!

There is no relation between this plant and Streptocarpus. This plant is related to Swedish Ivy.

Happy Gardening,

Marilena

Can anyone tell me if the plant "Zulu Wonder" (Plectranthus ciliatus) is poisonous? I am a mother of an 8 month old and I just want to be sure.

Thanks!
