I will be moving from Vancouver to Powell River in mid November. I have 6 large containers (oak half barrels, etc.) Would it be best to remove the plants and soil from the containers to make them easier to move (japanese maple, grasses, passion flower, virginia creeper, clematis)?

If anyone has experience of moving containers, I'd appreciate the info.
