Subject: Japanese Beetles on Corn

I am growing corn for the first time this year, and now they are very tall (5-8 ft.), and the tops are covered with Japanese Beetles! I assume these pests are destroying my corn! In my flower gardens I use Sevin to control the beetles, but I realize I can't do that in a veggie garden. What can I do??? Please help!

Amy.Spray your corn with a product which contains "Pyrethrum" a few products are "Trounce" or "Bug-Be-Gone" in the blue labelled container. These products are made from Chrysanthemum flowers, and completely natural. Now remember even the insectecides made from natural products are poisenes so read the label, when, and how long before harvest you can spray with these products
