I just came back from the Canada Blooms show, and I am hoping someone can help me identify a plant I saw there. It was a type of shrub that was planted in a large cast iron pot on the left side of the large stage at the back of the show floor, in the area where they did the featured shows. I thought it might be a beautyberry as it had similar leaves (elongated narrow leaves with veins), but it had beautiful cuplike red flowers (fairly small) that appeared in a sort of spray that drooped off the branches. Even one of the master gardeners I asked didn't know what it was. Can anyone identify this plant for me?
