That is really weird that you cannot get them through that email. I just checked their site and it's the same one...here is their phone number (306) 966-5593

Hi The Prairie Garden is an annual publication devoted to gardening in the prairies. Each year features a different theme but includes lots of general gardening articles as well. It is published out of Winnipeg but includes articles from many Saskatchewan gardeners. As well, back issues are available. 2003 will be $9, 2002 is $6 and earlier issues are $4.50. If you are interested please reply to prairiegarden@mts.net & we will get you more information.

Hi P.J.-

I have enjoyed "The Prairie Garden" annual publication for years. You will find a surprising variety of gardening topics covered. I think my collection of issues is like an encyclopedia of gardening for the prairies. They are great reference material.

While I was new to gardening, I was delighted to discover that our library had a large selection of these books. My immediate impression was that I was receiving advice from people who love gardening. I have since learned that many contributors are prominent prairie experts and educators, even having a sense of humour. I got a lot of useful ideas from "The Prairie Garden" and went back often to make new discoveries.

Give them a try.

Thank you to all who have replied ! I always enjoy the friendly and prompt answers and help I get for all my questions. I phoned the usask phone number you gave me, Donna and a very charming gentleman took all the info need. He also informed me they have been having trouble with the web site and were waiting for gov't funding to help with improvements. Thanks again all of you !

I find the magazine Gardens West has lots of information regarding the praries. It is nice to see gardens from Sask. featured. It gives you pleasure to keep on trying many different plants and vegetables.

Donna's note - Sandy I am going to delete all the extras...you can do this as well with your own entries..just as Susan suggests..

Why do I end up with so many replies when I only type one?

Sandy - I've had that happen if I hit the 'refresh' button on my browser after I've submitted a post. It's easy to get rid of the duplicates. Just log in and go to the Forum and open the thread. All your posts should show with an edit and a delete option. Just click the delete for all the duplicates and they should go away!

Gardening on the Prairies by Roger Vick is also one of my favorites. It is full of information. Thanks for the information Susan.
