Hi to all. Well first I must tell you that I won the biggest Onion contest for the Victoria BC area this year with a 6 1/2 lb Kelsae Onion! I know this is not much when you consider the English biggest Onion (this year is 13 lbs!) WOW. Next year I am trying for a 10 pounder! However my subject is CUKES and this is the second year I have grown a variety "ALPHA" outside Cucumber and both times after wonderful production they have just wilted very fast and died!This happened today and I am going to cry in my glass of red wine! Any ideas please? Norman Howard from Canada

Mine were doing great until I staked them. They then died within DAYS....
