I have bought calla & canna lily bulbs. I need to know when I can plant them in the garden outside. Do not want to force them inside. Have been getting different answers. Thanks

Can't help with Callas, which I believe are generally grown as houseplants. Cannas can be planted directly into the garden, same as you would dahlias, potatoes, etc., and in 5B that would about right now, depending on local conditions.

I have been getting different answers, so I asked Mark Cullen site. They said to wait for the end of May or when the ground is warm. I decided to go with that answer and wait awhile to plant them.Too expensive to have them not work.

Mark Cullen's site is great. www.markcullen.com You have to take up the bulbs before the first frost. They have to be stored over winter. Have to be keep dry. Hope you try again.
