Any suggestions for a rose hedge? -northern exposure, mostly late afternoon sun -would like to have blooms all summer long -also looking for fragrant flowers -love anything to do with David Austin roses and the explorer series, but don't know what might do best. (Toronto area) Thank you!

Fortunately in Toronto you have lots of choices Ex plorers and Austens grow quite large, but if space is no problem , selections of either should do just fine. My personal preference would be something lower and more compact, producing a more concentrated dispay of bloom all season. For this effect, I would choose one of my favourite florabundas, Else Poulsen, a splendid example.
