Monique, I also had parsley in a planter and it turned yellow because I let it get too dry in the hot sun. I'm in Ottawa, and you'd think with all the rain we've had, plants wouldn't dry out. But planters can dry out very quickly if they're in the sun and have to be watered at least once a day.

In addition to monitoring the moisture level, are you supplying fertilizer to the container? Container plants require more fertilizer than plants in the ground. Use a good liquid fertilizer at half the recommended rate on the label every two weeks if the plants is requiring a lot of watering. Miracle Gro or one that is similiar would be a good choice. Yellowing leaves indicate a lack of nitrogen in the soil. So the Miracle Grow advice in the msg above should amend. I Miracle Grow my containers every week and my gardens every week and half-2 weeks. Good luck.
