It's the rainy season now, and my favourite season. Within two weeks of rain the grass greens up again and the trees and shrubs that have been bare start showing new growth. The trees that sat waiting for the rain are now showing blazing colours - the purples of the Jacaranda against the screaming yellow of the Cassia fistula or Golden Shower Tree. The solid masses of blossoms of the Delonix regia or Flame of the Forest tree against the pale pink of the Tabebuia or Trumpet tree...and all intermingling with the Bougainvillea in shades of pink, white, orange and purple. Periwinkle, Allamanda, Pride of India, Hibiscus, Bottlebrush...all in flower now...and Heaven for sure.
