Scarlet Jewell™ Maple

Nothing heralds the change of seasons like the bold colors of a Maple tree.

Now you can enjoy the fall color show a full two weeks earlier with First Editions™ Scarlet Jewell™ Maple. Scarlet Jewell is a full, upright Maple which turns a consistent deep crimson earlier in the fall, typically two weeks earlier than other rubrum Maples. A brilliant show of red flowers each spring adds to its year-round interest.

Selected in Northern Minnesota by Terry Schwartz of Bailey Nurseries, Scarlet Jewell exhibits excellent symmetrical branching and resistance to frost cracking. This Maple prefers a moist, slightly acidic soil. Scarlet Jewell is grown exclusively by Bailey Nurseries and is available at independent garden centers across the country.
