TPIE 2008 Recognizes Fourteen Award Recipients

TPIE 2008, held at the Broward County Convention Center in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, presented 9 awards for outstanding booth displays and 4 awards for favorite new plants and products.

With nearly 500 beautiful exhibits filling the show floor, TPIE booth award judges, Robert Bowden, Harry P. Leu Gardens, Tina Stoecker, American Institute of Floral Designers, Wendy Hendrickson, The Garden Center Group, and Mark Russell, Discovery Cove, gave close attention to each booth focusing on a combination of sales, product/service, and booth presentation. Herman Englemann Greenhouses, Inc. (Apopka, FL) was selected as the Best of Show and the Most Unusual Plant Specimen this year went to Boynton Botanicals (Boynton Beach, FL) for Euphorbia stenoclada.

TPIE’s New Plant and Product room, sponsored by Farm Credit Associations of Florida, showcased the Favorite New Flowering Plant, Medinilla scortechinii, from Hawaiian Sunshine Nursery, Inc., the Favorite New Foliage Plant, Aglaonema ‘Pink Sapphire’PP#17,673, from Twyford International/Kerry’s, and the Favorite New Product, Poly Pebbles, from Primescape Products Co. Congratulations to the following TPIE 2008 booth award winners!
