Wildflower Farm Company History

Founded in 1988, by the husband and wife team of Paul Jenkins and Miriam Goldberger, Wildflower Farm Inc., has evolved over the years as it meets the needs of the Canadian gardening marketplace. Originally, a wholesale supplier of flowers (both fresh and dried) to Toronto area florists, Wildflower Farm Inc., opened its facilities to the public in 1993 as "Ontario's Original Pick Your Own Flower Farm". The concept of offering people not only an opportunity to personally pick and purchase the highest quality, locally grown, flowers but also a unique "country" experience created another market for the business - tourism.

Located on a 100 acre property near Schomberg, Ontario, just one half hour north of Toronto, Wildflower Farm Inc., has become a popular destination point for many people, from families and friends to charter bus lines, with thousands of people making a point of visiting each summer.

The farm currently features over 5 acres of flowers including display gardens of Native Wildflowers, Herb Gardens and Children's Gardens. The main "Pick Your Own" production fields offer over 100 varieties of perennial flowers and grasses along with another 50 varieties of annuals. The relaxing, peaceful setting high atop the rolling hills of King Township offers breathtaking views and the opportunity to relax in the shade or have a picnic.

Open to the pubic from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., seven days a week, throughout the summer months, Wildflower Farm's retail facilities are located in the farm's barn. Filled with floral crafts, dried flower wreaths, pressed flowers and more, the Flower Barn Gift Shop is quite popular with all the farm's visitors.

Wildflower Farm Inc., also provides its clients with the opportunity to purchase seeds and plants either directly from the nursery or through its full colour Wildflower and Ornamental Native Grasses mail order catalogue. Wild Flower Farm ships throughout Canada on both a retail and wholesale basis.
