C.L. Fornari

Name: C.L. Fornari (Yes, everyone calls me "C.L." even my mom...and the answer to your next question is: I'm a woman.) Address: P.O. Box 355, Osterville, MA 02655 USA Phone: 508-428-5895 email:

I am the author of three books on gardening, but I would rather be speaking to a room full of humanbeings than be writing at my computer. Actually, instead of writing, I'd rather be gardening, reading about plants, answering the Master Gardener Hotline, making garden sculptures, cooking, or having a glass of wine with friends, but sometimes I force myself to get some work done. I speak about a variety of gardening topics, sometimes with slides and sometimes without, but always with enthusium, good humor, and common sense.

Lecture topics: Perennials, Container Gardening, Solving Problems, Pruning 101, Shade Gardening, Your Garden Shouldn't Make You Crazy, & Craft Projects for the Garden.

Credentials: I am a life-long gardener and out-of-control plant art major in college but the garden kept calling me out of the studio. I am a volunteer Master Gardener with the Barnstable Cooperative Extension Service, the author of "Your Garden Shouldn't Make You Crazy" and other books and articles, and in the growing season I am the resident plant-nut at Hyannis Country Garden, a garden center on Cape Cod.

I am a frequent speaker to garden clubs and other organizations. Some recent appearances include: Garden Club of America SE-Massachusetts Regional Meeting, The New York Horticultural Society, The Philadelphia Flower Show, The Cleveland Flower Show, The New England Flower Show, The Massachusetts Horticultural Society, and the Polly Hill Arboretum.
