Chapter of the Canadian Horticultural Therapy Association are presenting their 4th annual conference on horticultural therapy. Join them at the Chilliwack campus on June 6, 7 and 8. What's bugging you? U.B.C. Botanical Gardens at 6804 S.W. Marine Drive in Vancouver is presenting a lecture on pests and diseases by Wilf Nicholls. Wilf will teach you to recognize the problems and how to deal with them and also give you safe and easy gardening tips to promote a healthy garden. Sat. June 21 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. Cost is $30.00
The Vancouver Rose Society is pleased to announce their 47th Annual Rose Show. Over 700 rose blooms will be exhibited, from hybrid teas, floribundas, climbers and miniatures to Old Garden roses and David Austin English roses. You can help the society choose the most fragrant bloom in the show, browse the information and book tables, and talk to the veteran rosarians about your rose-growing problems. Sun. June 22 from 12 noon to 5 p.m. at the Floral Hall at Van Dusen Gardens. Admission is $3.00, for seniors it's $2.50 and children under 12 free.
The Juan de Fuca Recreation Centre will be transformed into an indoor garden paradise with a creative walk-through garden display to admire and inspire. The festival landscape designer, Carole Rossell of Sooke, B.C., has created unique and exciting plans for the centre's entrances, walkway areas and feature gardens. The wonderful gardens themselves will be designed and constructed by some of the most creative companies, societies and associations B.C. has to offer. Participants include:

The Burnaby Beautification Committee is presenting another great tour of Burnaby's private gardens. Many of the gardens are finalists in the committee's annual Summer Gardens Contest. The tour will be held on Sunday, August 10 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Master Gardeners will be on site! For more information, please call 294-7128.
