Canada Blooms Garden Tours

Canada Blooms enthusiasts know that Morning Garden Tours are the best way to start off your visit to the festival. Discover the "inside secrets" of how those magnificent gardens are put together. Tours begin at 8:15 am, giving you time to enjoy each garden at your leisure before the festival opens.

Tours are led by Master Gardeners and horticultural specialists and tickets are available for only $40 which includes all day admission to the festival as well as the National Home Show. A limited number of tickets are available for Friday, Saturday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Please note tickets must be purchased in advance.

Canada Blooms is giving away two sets of Morning Garden Tour Tickets for Saturday March 10, so visit our contest page for a chance to win.

Demonstrations And Workshops

Learn hands-on from Industry professionals and World Association of Floral Artists winners with a new line up of workshops and demonstrations which are available in the workshop area of the Gardening Experience. Demos are offered on a first come, first serve basis, so if you are interested, consider completing the Demo booking form to reserve your place. Special workshops are offered for an additional fee as they are Make & Take projects, the fee includes your admission, instruction and material costs, these are also limited and must be ordered through the ticket page.

Demonstrations include:

• The Master Gardeners Li'l Sprouts sessions taking place Saturday, March 10-Friday, March 16 at 12pm & 2pm. They include learning the basis in planting peas, beans, sunflowers, discovering succulents, growing pollinator plants and creating a grass head.

• Also for children is Veggie for Kids from the Veggie Guy, Bob Martin of Martin Farms. (note: although these sessions are to introduce children to the joys of gardening, if space permits, those who are also kids at heart may join the sessions).

• Other demonstrations include Creating a Pizza Garden and Creating a Tea Garden with Robert Patterson.

Workshops include:

• Fairy Garden Make & Take with Judy Zinni: Enjoy creating your very own fairy garden and take it home. Get hands on help from your instructor that will help you through the process. Easy to do, lovely to enjoy and lots of fun to make!

• Fresh 'Floral' Cake Make & Take with Jacqui Miller: Made with flowers, leaves and foam. These beautiful cakes are beautiful to look at and have no calories.

• Fresh Floral Centerpiece Make & Take with Lillian Taggart: In this workshop get some of the basic floral design styles & techniques and then create a stunning centerpiece that will be perfect at Easter, Passover or any occasion.

• Kokedama Make & Take with Trudy Grantham: Create your very own Japanese moss ball garden art.
