Toronto Island Spring 2013 Garden Tour - A Reminder - May 25th & 26th - Noon to 5 p.m.

Planning to kick-off the season with a tour of the Toronto Island gardens? Here's a reminder and a few more details to help plan the visit and make it more enjoyable:

event: Toronto Island Spring 2013 Garden Tour

time: Saturday May 25th and Sunday May 26th - Noon to 5 p.m.

info: • it is a self guided, walking tour using maps provided - no vehicles are available to transport people

• the whole route is a very easy walk - the only hill of any consequence on the island is the Algonquin Island Bridge

• the tour could take 2-3 hours or more depending on how long people spend in the gardens

• there are 2 places to eat - the Island Cafe just opposite the Ward's Island Ferry Docks and the Rectory Cafe at the foot of the Algonquin Island Bridge

• tickets and maps are available on the island in the white gazebo at Ward’s island Dock - adults $10, seniors $8, children $2, group rate (10 or more people) $7 each

Please join us! The Ward’s Island ferry departs from the Jack Layton Ferry Terminal at the foot of Bay Street at Queen’s Quay. Check ferry times and ticket prices at www.toronto.ca/parks/island/ferry-schedule.htm Funds raised are used for public landscaping projects in the community.
