We are a semi-rural garden club encompassing many Minas Basin Towns and Villages. The club has 40 + members and is growing steadily. Even in this time of Covid our club is active in many ways

We meet in the Village of Mount Denson(hence the name) at the West Hants Ground Search and Rescue Building, #821 Hwy.#1. Meetings start at 7:00 PM in weather is daylight… In the winter we meet at 6 PM. Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of the month.

The club offers a varied selection of topics to keep our members busy and informed. Usually when we have a speaker or program they will go first since it is dark during the winter it is only fair so they can go home sooner, then we have a business meeting of varying length depending on the time of year and how busy we are. Some of the topics include, organic gardening, hosta's and day lilies, water gardening, dried and fresh flower arranging grape growing , grasses and the like.

We also had our share of tours, which includes walking tours of local gardens of great merit. Going by cars and vans to go to tours and special events throughout the year. One day will have bus tours again Plant sales, auctions, seed swaps and much more are available to those who join or just want to visit as a guest. We also have district meetings and conventions..

We are a community based club and wish to help out our community with projects to beautify our country side. 2022 we will be able to offer a larger bursary For a student at the NSCC in one of these areas of agricultural, floriculture, horticulture, silviculture, hard scape and landscaping.

We have a lot to offer and we would like to see you at one of our meetings or events.

To be a member dues are $ 20.00 for a single membership. This is paid once a year for a great club! There is so much to do , see and learn!
