Pictures from Barb - some of her favourites!

Long mixed border at Great Dixter. See the size of those lupins!

Gate leading to Canterbury Cathedral.

Kent countryside with the chalk at the surface.

Wine kegs made out of ancient trees felled in the great hurricane of 1987. Carved in Austria.

Rhododenrons and azaleas at Emmett's Garden.

I use this one to prove to people I really was there!!!

Back view of gardens and Polsden Lacey House

Rock garden at Kew Botanical Gardens.
this is the end

Rose arbor at Kew. Roses just starting.

I think this is the best pic of the bunch! Taken at Scotney Castle, this shows the rhododendrons on the banks of the Castle moat reflected in the water.

Wood carvings on ancient trees felled in the great hurricane. Spectacular sculpting done by England's best wood sculptors. Everybody else heads for commercial district, I look for a small park and found it in Canterbury.
