Tulips and History of Turkey Tour 2014

April 20. Sunday. Izmir – Fly to Cappadocia
Before we fly to Cappadocia, we will explore Uzbas and what a treat!! Definitely not enough time so next tour we will make time for a wine tasting and olive oil tasting here as well. What a garden lovers dream to be here with all this plant material in such excellent shape. It helps that they supply a lot to landscapers. The owner and his faithful dogs walked us through. The old wine pottery is ancient and was found while they were working on the land. Even though we didn’t have time to fully appreciate the organic winery we did make a quick stop to pick up some olive oil. We had to eat and run so what to do…well we stopped at a local outside café and made them very happy by ordering lots of pides to go. They were yummy and the coach driver got to enjoy it as well. Look at our dough being pressed out for the oven… then we were off on our flight to Cappadocia and our Cave Hotel! No room is the same and every room is memorable. We had dinner here as well before heading off to bed.
