Hong Kong - Live It, Love It Fam Tour
September 27 - October 4th, 2004

October 3
Was the day we were to tour Hong Kong Island and day of days, this turned out to be such a nice clear day as you can see by the pictures. We started with the tram up to Victoria Peak. The views were incredible. Caught a fellow painting a fan. Do you see the apartment building with the hole in it? That is Feng Shui. Seems the dragon could not get to the water through the building so they left this open for him. Since real estate is so high here as well, this was a big loss in revenue but it had to be. On to Repulse Bay where we enjoyed walking the beach and then Stanley Market.what a lot of fun we had here.bought lots of stuff and watched a parade that went through the market. Finished up with lunch at the famous Jumbo Floating Restaurant in Aberdeen which has had a name change to Jumbo Kingdom.
Our final farewell dinner this evening was at the Signature Cuisine, a meeting of east and west or fusion cuisine.hosted by the HKTB and what a meal this was. Six courses plus desert and coffee. A wonderful way to end the trip. The next morning we took our time getting packed up and then boarded the Airport Express train to take us to the airport .a mere 17 minutes from downtown Hong Kong. I know there is much that I missed - save it for another time!
A unique combination of more than 150 years of colonial influence and 5,000 years of Chinese tradition, Hong Kong is a fantastic holiday experience that you will treasure forever. Avery special thank you to Michael Lim of the HKTB, Air Canada and Steve Gillick of CITC for making this wonderful trip possible and giving us all a short but very full taste of Hong Kong!
