April 22nd

After breakfast we left for Falkland Palace – it was too bad we could not take photos inside but I do have some outside photos and why my camera decided to fade every one of them is beyond me … but there you go. From there we drove to the British Golf Museum for a brief tour and lunch…they have a great museum to wander around in and a lovely gift shop as well ... and right across the street from the Royal and Ancient members…from here we drove to Glamis Castle where again no photos allowed inside ... sigh, but outside ones I have, even if faded. I am sure this garden would be much more gorgeous later in summer when the perennials are out. Finally our visit to Glen Garioch Distillery and sure, now, my camera decides it wants to change back to what it was before … I guess it knew that I would be hand bottling two very special whiskies for a friend back home…just one cask each made…it was quite the thrill to be able to do this for him. From here we drove to our hotel for the night, the lovely and historic Mercure Ardoe House Hotel. There was a wedding reception on at the time but our rooms were lovely and quiet. The grounds were beautiful to stroll in, the interior of Ardoe House beautiful and our dinner here this evening excellent again.
