Visit Scotland Expo 2014
Glasgow, Perthshire Highlands, Stirling, the Trossachs & Edinburgh
April 2, 2014 – April 6th, 2014

April 7

After a leisurely breakfast I headed out to walk the Royal Mile for a bit before leaving for the Edinburgh Airport to overnight at the Edinburgh Hilton Airport Hotel as I had a very early flight the next morning. I walked around the hotel area just at dusk to enjoy the setting sun…and caught my last glimpse of white heather…thought to be lucky as it is much less common….the national flower that blooms it little hearts out on over 5 million acres of land in Scotland. Now to start the planning of a tour to Scotland!

Did you know?

- that Edinburgh makes a gin? Edinburgh Gin made in small batches using an ancient hand beaten Scottish copper pot still. Juniper berries, citrus peel and coriander seeds blended with pine, heather and milk thistle…good and yet another reason to visit.

A very special thanks goes out to all who put a fab trip together for us to learn more about this totally enchanting country. I can hardly wait to go back to check out a whole lot of gardens!
