Paris & London/Chelsea Flower Show
May 17-26, 2008 Tour
Usually I will put a tour together of Paris
and London every second year or so…so if after you have gone through all
these wonderful memories of mine – my pictures, and you want to know about
the next Paris/London tour, please send me an email. We stay right in Paris
and London so you can immerse yourself in these two incredible cities – so
different and diverse – yet focused on one thing – the gardens.
|‘The garden tour was everything
we expected and more. It was so well organized and we had an
opportunity to see so many beautiful gardens. The Chelsea Garden
Show was a once in a lifetime experience. Thank you for all that you
did to create a wonderful experience for us all.’
Please visit our exclusive tours only website at
for our next offering of tours!
You may not see that many pictures of certain gardens – it is because I have
already been there, perhaps more than once – so look in the Pix area of the
site under the other tours to see those gardens and more. The gardens change
on the London side but for Paris, everyone wants to see Versailles and
Giverny plus I want to make sure they have enough time to shop and take in
the shows and theater and the Museums like the Louvre. There is just so much
in these two cities – you can never be there long enough!
May 17, Day 1.
Upon arrival in Paris, we made our own way to the Holiday Inn Paris opera
for the next four nights. We all met later on for our Welcome dinner. It is
so nice to meet old friends who have traveled with me before and new travel
guests…catch up on the latest and find out what it’s like to garden in
different areas of the world.
In a quiet street just a few yards from the bustle of the main shopping
streets, the Hotel Holiday Inn Paris Opera offers all the warmth and charm
of a genuine "Belle Epoque" decor. It is close to Opera Garnier, the Musée
Grévin wax museum, the famous department stores, Les Halles shopping center,
the George Pompidou Center, and the Hotel Drouot auction halls.
