Puerto Vallarta ArtWalk

This was their 9th season of the ArtWalk. Of course we didn’t have the time to visit all of the shops showcasing their exceptional national and international artists. All of the galleries involved in ArtWalk are located in Centro Historico, walking from one gallery to another is an easy, enjoyable experience. You can spend as much time as you like and I did manage to see a few very good galleries on our short visit.

Lunch at Villa Premiere

Wow, what can I say about this gorgeous boutique hotel…it was so inviting…this is an adult only hotel right on the ocean with a quiet peace and solitude about it. The lobby is filled with colourful artwork and ceramics. The welcoming ‘garden feeling’ of outside with watering cans and bike filled with flowers was just what I needed. We then popped into the room just off of this entry for our lunch and was it special. Music played, wonderful drinks of guava, pineapple and tequila rimmed with chile salt were served and we mingled and found a spot to sit at the tables to enjoy the tastes of PV produced by Executive Chef Tony Martinez.

Then it was back to our hotel for downtime until we headed out again…for…

Sunset cocktails at Vista Grill

Through old town and up a steep hill…and then we were greeted and shown to the most jaw dropping sights of PV, that of sunset over their spectacular bay.
Yikes, how hard was it to resist filling up on all these mouthwatering treats…I can tell you it was extremely hard. Drinks at sunset here were lovely and plentiful. Finding a spot to capture your photos was harder as there were so many of us vying for that perfect position.

Next it was our Dine Around time…and I choose

Dinner at RiverCafé

So glad I did as it was such a nice place with wonderful staff. The ambiance here would be perfect for a quiet dinner and the artwork on the walls gave it just enough pizazz. We enjoyed a Tasting Menu of six courses…and yes it was incredibly hard to get through them all but they were all so good, I suffered through it.
and yes, I waddled back to my room this night.
