Royal Caribbean Cruise
February 26th - Mar 10th, 2011

March 9th the ship docks right in town in Aruba so it is really easy to get off when you want to and head out to discover the sights. We brought some lettuce with us today as we were going to visit a favourite spot to see iguanas. They love lettuce and before you knew it they were coming to visit for their treats. After this we wandered through the area where there are plenty of high end shops and souvenir shops to satisfy everyone. I had forgotten how much more expensive it was here compared to Curacao and should have picked up more things while there. For instance a cotton shift was 10.00 in Curacao and here it was at least twice as much so I will remember next time to get more in Curacao! I live in them at home as they are light and breezy for our heat and humidity. We were here from 8 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. then set sail for Colon which we will not see until Sunday morning. The ship is not going fast so the ride is smooth.

We will arrive into Colon around 6:30 in the morning and will be home by noon…the second cruise was much nicer than the first one and we find out that RCI will do be doing it any more. I can see why. This ship Grandeur of the Seas will be going into a restoration in April so when we board her again next March it will be totally different….many more restaurants to be added and all the rooms will be gutted and redone. Looking forward to seeing it.
