PRESS RELEASE

Clematis Maria Louise Jensen

Pride of Place Plants Inc., is pleased to announce an agreement with Mr. Friedrich Manfred Westphal and his world famous company, F.M.Westphal Clematiskulturen from Prisdorf, Germany to market and promote the New Clematis cultivar, Clematis Maria Louise Jensen.

Clematis Maria Louse Jensen, has blue six inch tepals, and displays the same outstanding anthers as previous introductions. Ordinarily when the anthers in the centre of a Clematis blossom shed their pollen they start to fade into insignificance. In the cultivars Maria Louise Jensen, Konigskind and Rosa Konigskind, the anthers begin dark but turn even darker as they grow to maturity. Clematis Maria Louise Jensen has an ultimate height of 6 to 8 feet. The striking blue flowers are consistant throughout the year. Double flowers are formed as a juvenile plant and in the early Spring of each year. Because the flowers are sterile, the cultivar will bloom from May to October non-stop. This introduction is hardy in all climates of northern North America, and is highly resistant to Clematis wilt and other foliage diseases.

Watch for more New Clematis Introductions from Pride of Place Plants Inc., and F.M. Westphal Clematiskulturen in the near future.
