I'm looking for a bright red daylily. Candy apple red colour. I've tried my local nursery with about 6-10 varietiey names,they are not available. These were the most popular or so I thought. So I need help in finding a variety.

Try to find Chicago Apache. It is a brilliant, vibrant true red. I have one in my garden - 6 years now - and it has wintered fantastically well in zone 4 and bloomed just as well also. I never cover or mulch over my lillies in the fall. Just cut down and leave until spring.
