Has anyone ever grown this tree? I was thinking of getting one. What I was wondering was, does it send up suckers? I would like to plant it in the garden but if it keeps sending up suckers, I'm not sure it would be such a good idea. Thanks for any help. marg

I am blessed with a neighbour, who has one of these wonderful trees....it does sucker but it is easily controllable and very well worth any work. Have you seen a mature tree? The canopy it creates is so beautiful....and its thorns are a real conversation piece.....the whole tree seems like it should be in mountains of the orient....

Thanks Faye! I haven't seen the actual tree but the gardening book I have has a picture. It is a gorgeous tree. I was thinking of planting it on my front lawn, we are on a farm so it will have lots of room to spread. Thanks again.
