The Garden Institute became a non profit organization in 1998. Our mission…"to promote the principles, practices and components of organic gardening through integrated research and education". Organic gardening is a link between a healthy environment and personal well-being.

Institute founders and instructors are Nancy Finlayson, (M.Sc.), Soil Scientist and Sharon Rempel (B.Sc., MA), Horticulturist. We have been practicing and promoting organic agriculture and environmental conservation issues in Canada and overseas since the early 1980s.
