PARTICIPATE IN THE BIGGEST AGRICULTURE EXPO IN AFRICA

Sudan is among the most important food resources in the world…

The projects towards development started to be implemented in Sudan, which is the second ranking country that has achieved the highest rate of growth in the last decade. The Government of Sudan aims at increasing the production in agricultural areas where two third of the population are employed in terms of developing the region and wide spreading the welfare.

United Nations Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) points out that Sudan is among the most important food resources in the world. Sudan has the fertile soils which are suitable for growing all kinds of crops. Only 4.2 hectares part of 84 million hectare arable lands can be irrigated. Mainly, cotton, oil seed, millet, peanut, wheat, barley, sugar cane, vegetables, fruits and sesame can be grown on these lands. Agricultural mechanization and efficiency is fairly law. Advanced agricultural machines and tools, agricultural pesticides and fertilizers can easily find a market in Sudan.

There are lots of live animal sources in Sudan. Though this fact, the number of the facilities for processing food and meat is very low. Sudan, which is also a member of the Common Market of East and South African Countries (COMESA), has the opportunity of exporting duty free foods to a large geography with a population of 375 million people needing food. In this context, lots of equipments are required for establishing and renewing the facilities where the food and meat is processed.
