Flamborough Horticultural Society

The Flamborough Horticultural Society was founded in 1939, and is affiliated with the Ontario Horticultural Association, District Six. The Society's emblem, the zonal pelargonium, Pelargonium xhortorum was decreed in 1971.

Just an interest in gardening is all that is needed to become a member of the Society. Most members are average home gardeners, others have considerable knowledge, and a few are expert Master Gardeners. Members can participate in community gardening and beautification, environment and conservation projects, tree planting, plant sales and other fund raising events. Members can attend District and Provincial Conventions, enjoy tours of special private gardens, parks and nurseries, and participate in member Flower Shows.

Meetings: 8:00 p.m., 3rd Wednesday of the Month (except July, August and December), at Strabane United Church, Brock Road, west side, just north of the Eighth Concession.

Mailing address: Flamborough Horticultural Society, P.O. Box 902, Waterdown, ON, L0R 2H0.
