The Deep Cove Garden Club was founded about 21 years in the SeyCove Area (eastern part)of North Vancouver, B.C. The next meeting will be Thursday, May 25, 2011. The Program for May will be an open discussion about our own plants. Bring plants that you enjoy, have a problem with or just need some encouragement. A special prize will be awarded to someone that brings a plant and participates. See you there! There is no meeting in June as that is our wind-up get-together. The next meeting will be on September 22, 2011. We meet on the fourth Thursday of every month at 7.30pm except for July, August and December. We have a windup Pot Luck party for our June meeting. Our meeting place is in Parkgate Community Centre, 2nd floor, just off Banff Court on the way to Mount Seymour. If you are in the vicinity, check out the garden to the right of the main doors to the Community Centre. This is the garden the Club maintains. We usually have a short business meeting, a good speaker followed by friendly discussions and our famous raffle. Tea is served but do bring your own cup or mug. There is also a wonderful newsletter for paid members. Our year starts in September and dues of $20.00 per year are payable then. Our club is very friendly, and everyone is welcome whether you are new to gardening or are an experienced grower. We all try to help each other. Won't you come and join us.
