Chat Help


The ICanGarden "Chat" is located at www.icangarden.com/chat

The chat area is visible 24 hours a day, but it is only "active" when a live chat is scheduled. To check the schedule check either the calendar or the live chat

The next available Chat event is noted at the top of the Chat area. The table at the right shows the times and dates for each of the current Chat Hosts.

To use the chat area:

• When you get to the chat area during the chat times - there will be a login area at the bottom of the screen where you need to enter your "email" address in the login and then the password you chose when you registered.
   

• If you don't recall the password then go to www.icangarden.com/user.cfm?task=sendpassword and enter your email address and the password will be emailed to you.
   

• After you have entered your email (login) and password, a new box will be visible at the bottom of the screen where your messages can be entered.
   

• Simply type your question and "click" on the "submit" button and your message will be visible to all the chat participants.
   

• The Chat messages "refresh" every 15 or so seconds so you can see the latest messages posted by the participants. You can turn off the "refresh" in order to read all the messages.
   

• During a live chat, all of the participants that have joined the chat will be visible on the right hand side of the screen.
   

• To leave the chat, simply click on the "logout" and your name will be removed from the list of participants.
