I planted several containers and window boxes, using my own soil mix using soil, peat and 'home grown' compost, plus a little bone-meal. So I am attaching a couple of pictures of these as my 'contribution'. I planted them with dahlias (bedding seedlings), fuchsia (grown from seed several years ago and propagated from cuttings each year), blue lobelia and snapdragons (grown from seed). They also needed watering most days and an occasional liquid fertilizer and they grew very well this year. Everything was still in flower last week - but the dahlias have now been frosted.
