This is Lavender Cottage, the back gardens have been established since 1998 and the front lawn was removed in 2004 to plant the shrubs, grasses and flowers seen in the pictures. We couldn't be happier with the front, it is low maintenance, pleasing to look at and we have had numerous compliments from passers by. Many of the plants and resident critters become the subjects for my weekly gardening column 'The Gardener's Corner' in our local paper. I have started several dozen 'Munstead' lavender plants from seed and have them growing all over the property; it's nice to serve lavender lemonade and lavender shortbread when company drops in.
