GWA Symposium
Long Island, NY
September, 2004
The final visit of the day was to Ivy Acres Nursery, the largest grower
of impatiens on the east coast as well as a major grower of geraniums and
poinsettias. Jack and Alice Van de Wettering opened up their private garden
to us and we wandered around enjoying the scenery with drinks in hand. I was
struck by a couple of ladies in the garden.quite the poses wouldn't you say!
We then walked down the road to the nursery where they had transformed it to
tables, chairs, music and food. Lots of food! A wonderful day and evening
was had by all!
