We were met at the entrance by Chris Woods, the director of the gardens. We then made our way up to the house for a beautiful offering of refreshments and nibblies before heading out to see the gardens. The house was built in in 1913 and the family Rosengarten enjoyed their summers there. I have also included a picture of the sun porch and of one of the two copper roofed corner pieces just off the back garden of the house. The other picture with a house in it was a wedding gift to Emily
Rosengarten, built in 1935. Behind it is a beautiful tropical garden filled to overflowing with tropicals and of course Janet Davis! Look at this Dutchman's Pipe I found growing! In my never ending quest to locate unusual benches I sure lucked out here....I found four of them...enjoy! and watch for a special area to appear in Pixs because I have caught the collector bug for benches! The pictures of what looks like a ruin are in fact a brand new Ruin Garden built on the same spot where Adolf
Jr's. house once stood. It was called Minder House. The following pictures are those of the Water Garden and the Cut Flower and Vegetable Garden, which used to be a tennis court.
