Home of Christopher Lloyd...we
had a tour of his home as well and got to see some of the items that he has collected over
the years...the home itself was built in the middle of the 15th century and then restored
and added to by Sir Edwin Lutyens.
Lloyd has created here one of the most experimental, exciting and constantly changing
gardens of our time. In one area you would see the Long Border, a tapestry of colour and
shape, to the clipped topiary, carpets of wild meadow flowers, the sunken pond garden. The
first picture is one of the Long Border...the second and third are of the sunken pond
beside the Oast Houses, the fourth is of the front entrance to his home and the final two
are treasures to me...one of Mr. Lloyd himself, carrying the biggest trug I have ever
seen, and this old wheelbarrow...
